This week, awards were made to the teams at our Damhead Waste Management Centre (8 years) and to our Tank Cleaners in Scotland (5 years) to recognise their successful achievement of a minimum of 5 years without a Lost Time Incident.

 Enviroco have invested in four new Volvo FH460 tractor units and one ‘Kaiser Whale’ dirty water recycler fitted to a Volvo FM12 460 rigid chassis. The financial investment for the five items is in excess of £0.5 million.

Each of our four operating centres across the UK will each receive a new tractor unit to help update our fleet, which in some areas has vehicles over 10 years old.  The ‘Recycler’ will be based at our Industrial Services operating centre in North Walsham to help service the growing demand for our specialist cleaning activities.

This is just the start of investment to be made on equipment throughout 2012, with other units planned for arrival in towards the end of the year.

The vehicles are all ADR rated allowing us to work with flammable liquids, they also conform to EURO5 standards which means they are environmentally friendly with vastly reduced emissions compared to older vehicles.  The units have also been purchased with the driver in mind, each giving extra room to move around the cab, when staying away from home and having to sleep in the vehicle, as well as outstanding driver comfort when carrying out their daily tasks.

Michael Averill

Following recent changes to the ownership of our parent company ASCO Group, Enviroco Limited, the leading provider of waste management services to the UK oil and gas sector has today announced that Michael Averill, our Non Executive Chairman, has stepped down with immediate effect.

Michael Averill, who joined Enviroco in 2008, was previously Chief Executive of Shanks Group plc, and has over 35 years of senior corporate and waste management experience.

Dan Taylor, Managing Director of Enviroco said “Michael has been a passionate and diligent supporter of Enviroco in his three and a half years with us, and the board and I would like to express our sincere gratitude to him for his contribution to the growth of Enviroco. He will be missed as both as our Chairman, and as a friend.”

Enviroco and ASCO Group have moved quickly to replace Mr Averill and have appointed parent company ASCO Group’s CEO, Billy Allan as Chairman.

This year’s conference, ‘The Sea of Opportunity’, will be held on the 1st March 2012 at the John Innes Centre in Norwich.

The conference will be chaired by John Westwood, group chairman of international energy business advisors Douglas-Westwood and features a prestigious line-up of speakers including Lord Browne of Madingley.

General / Operations Process Manager

Responsible for the full day to day operation of the facility, including budgeting, marketing, managing staff, HSE compliance, maximising plant usage and the profitability of the facility. The successful candidate will have a high commercial awareness, having experience in the preparation of disposal quotations as well as extensive experience in the decontamination of NORM contaminated equipment using UHP / HP water jetting.

Process Team Leader

Working closely with the Operations Manager creating process schedules and managing the transfer of incoming materials through the processing system. Responsible for scheduled maintenance of all plant and equipment as well as the training and development of site operatives.

UHP / HP Jetting Operatives

A team of experienced UHP certified jetting personnel is required to carry out the cleaning of NORM contaminated equipment. Forklift Certificate is desirable but not essential as onsite training will be provided.

Yard Operatives

Responsible for the unloading/loading of incoming/outgoing materials as well as the pre-decontamination processing of larger items. Forklift Certificate is required. Experience with handling of NORM contaminated equipment is desirable.

Office Manager

We require an experienced individual who can demonstrate a good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
